PEF feeds back to EFRA Committee

Today, Peakland Environmental Farmers joined Environmental Farmers Group and Natural Capital Advisory to give some key messages to an EFRA Committee event held in Westminster on the Land Use Framework. The main messages that EFG were able to get across included:

  1. Let farmers design environmental delivery on their farm with the support of advisors.
  2. Let policy incentivise land use objectives through public or private purse.
  3. We need policy levers now to stimulate demand in natural capital markets.

NCA is looking to continue its interactions with government going forward to increase opportunities for farmers in Natural Capital Markets. Thanks to Andrew Critchlow for representing PEF at the event.
